Non-Hermitian skin effect in a domain-wall system

چکیده

The non-Hermitian skin effect is one of the most striking features in physics. It reveals a novel phenomenon system that bulk wave function and energy spectrum are sensitively dependent on boundary conditions. concept generalized Brillouin zones has been proposed to characterize functions such systems . Based zones, non-Bloch topological invariants can reconstruct bulk-edge correspondence. Previous discussion mainly focused open conditions, calculation needs be reconsidered under domain-wall paper introduces related researches systems, including general form zone equation one-dimensional single-band model, SSH (Su-Schieffer-Heeger) experimental realization quantum walk system.

domain-wall light quark system

We discuss the perturbative O(αsa) matching in the static heavy and domain-wall light quark system. The gluon action is the Iwasaki action and the link smearing is performed in the static heavy action. The chiral symmetry of the light quark realized by using the domain-wall fermion formulation does not prohibit the mixing of the operators at O(a). The application of O(a) improvement to the actu...

Casimir effect in Domain Wall formation

The Casimir forces on two parallel plates in conformally flat de Sitter background due to conformally coupled massless scalar field satisfying mixed boundary conditions on the plates is investigated. In the general case of mixed boundary conditions formulae are derived for the vacuum expectation values of the energy-momentum tensor and vacuum forces acting on boundaries. Different cosmological ...

Non-Perturbative Renormalisation using Domain Wall Fermions

The viability of the Non-Perturbative Renormalisation (NPR) method of the Rome/Southampton group is studied, for the first time, in the context of domain wall fermions. The procedure is used to extract the renormalisation coefficients of the various quark bilinears, as well as the four-fermion operators relevant to the ∆S = 2 effective Hamiltonian. The renormalisation of the ∆S = 1 Hamiltonian ...

Non-perturbative renormalisation with domain wall fermions

Domain wall fermions [2] are increasingly being used for many studies of physically interesting quantities. It is therefore important to have reliable values for the renormalisation coefficients of the operators needed in these calculations. Here we will discuss the application of the nonperturbative renormalisation technique of the RomeSouthampton group [1], the Regularisation Independant (RI)...

Gauging non-Hermitian Hamiltonians

We address the problem of coupling non-Hermitian systems, treated as fundamental rather than effective theories, to the electromagnetic field. In such theories the observables are not the x and p appearing in the Hamiltonian, but quantities X and P constructed by means of the metric operator. Following the analogous procedure of gauging a global symmetry in Hermitian quantum mechanics we find t...
